GARDR aims to make its website usable across phones, tablets and computers, including keyboard and assistive technology. The site is built and tested against WCAG 2.2 AA as a target; this is not a certification.

How the site is built

  • Pages are built to work with a keyboard, show where keyboard focus is, and start with a link to skip to the main content.
  • Text and controls are checked for colour contrast, and pages reflow on small screens without sideways scrolling.
  • Decorative illustrations are hidden from screen readers, and animation is reduced when your device asks for less motion.
  • The quote form labels every field and explains errors in text, not colour alone.
